For the second year in a row, Terrell Owens shockingly did not receive the necessary votes to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

The former 49ers receiver, who has the second most receiving yards in NFL history, revealed the news on Twitter, and called the selection process flawed and a total joke.

Based on numbers alone, Owens seems like a shoo-in. In addition to his 15,934 receiving yards being the second most all-time behind only former teammate Jerry Rice, Owens ranks third with 153 receiving touchdowns, and eighth with 1,078 career receptions. Owens was a five-time First-Team All-Pro, six-time Pro Bowler and a selection to the 2000s All-Decade Team.

The selection committee discussed Owens’ canidicy for 32 minutes and 21 seconds, the third longest discussion of a candidate on Saturday, according to Rick Gosselin of the Dallas Morning News.

Owens spent the first eight seasons of his 15-year NFL career with the 49ers.
