ESPN’s Marc Stein: Andrew Bogut will sign with Cleveland Cavaliers this weekend [report]

Former Warriors center Andrew Bogut has reportedly chosen the team he intends to sign with once he clears waivers following his buyout from Philadelphia, according to ESPN’s Marc Stein. The 32-year-old was traded from Dallas to the Sixers last week as part of a package for Nerlens Noel.

According to Stein, he has already begun notifying teams that he intends to join Cleveland as soon as he clears waivers. The Cavaliers will have to release a player in order to clear a roster spot for Bogut. Cleveland has already been aggressive on the buyout market, snatching up Deron Williams after he secured a buyout from the

Bogut was with Golden State from 2012 to 2016, after being traded from the Milwaukee Bucks for Monta Ellis. Bogut was the starting center on the Warriors’ team that won the title in 2015.

It will certainly be interesting to see how it plays out in the Finals if these two teams meet up for the third straight year.
