OAKLAND – During a timeout in the 2nd quarter of a slugfest with the visiting Philadelphia 76ers, Steve Kerr turned to the huddle to find Draymond Green holding court.

“He was in the middle of telling the guys, ‘This is going to be hard,’” Kerr said. “When you’re in a rut, it’s never easy. You don’t lose whatever we’ve lost, five out of seven, and just show up and blow a team out. You have to dig your way out.

“And he led the charge.”

Green played an outstanding all-around game. He filled the stat sheet with 20 points, eight rebounds, eight assists, six blocks and four steals.

“We’ve been in a little bit of a run,” Green said. “The only way to change that is to grind yourself out of it.”
