Frandsen on Blach: ‘He’s the stopper’

Kevin Frandsen is back talking Giants baseball, specifically Ty Blach and his solid contribution to the Giants’ starting rotation. After the Giants lost their ace pitcher Madison Bumgarner to a shoulder injury sustained after falling off a dirt bike, they called on Ty Blach to fill the void. Though he has some enormous shoes to fill, he’s exceeded expectations by racking up a 4-2 record with a solid 3.24 ERA over 8 starts this season.

Blach has been riding a hot streak of late as he twirled a gem in his last start, pitching a complete game shutout against the Phillies to pick up his 4th win. The Giants will need Blach to continue to produce as the they will take all the help they can get to climb the ladder in the NL West.
