Draymond Green was nearly tossed out of Game 4 of the NBA Finals for the second year in a row.

After receiving a technical foul in the middle of the third quarter, Mike Breen, Marc Jackson, Jeff Van Gundy and all of America was ready to watch Draymond walk dejectedly off the court. It was his seond technical of the game after he struck Iman Shumpert in the face in the first half.

Yet, after a number of minutes of confusion, Draymond was allowed to stay in the game. The refs explanation? The first technical, which was relayed to the scorer’s table as being attributed to Draymond Green, was apparently later attributed to Steve Kerr.

In the end, Draymond stayed on the court, Steve Kerr received a technical and the continued scrutiny of Game 4’s officiating will most certainly be the headline regardless of the outcome.
