On the 49ers’ final injury report this week, free safety Jimmie Ward was listed as questionable.

Ninety minutes prior to San Francisco’s showdown in Seattle, the 49ers made their final determination on Ward, and it appears as though the free safety will play on Sunday.

Ward was not listed among the list of seven inactive players for the 49ers on Sunday, which indicates San Francisco believes Ward is healthy enough to take a considerable amount of reps against the division rival Seahawks. Sunday will mark Ward’s debut in Robert Saleh’s new 4-3 scheme, which means he’ll play as the single-high safety a week after Jaquiski Tartt started over undrafted rookie free agent Lorenzo Jerome at the position. Jerome will not play on Sunday, as he’s listed as inactive.

San Francisco also elected to activate linebacker Aaron Lynch against the Seahawks after he was a healthy scratch for the team’s season-opener against the Carolina Panthers last week. The Seahawks’ offensive line is considered one of the weakest in the NFL, and Lynch is regarded as one of the top pass-rushers on San Francisco’s roster.

Aside from Jerome, rookies Kendrick Bourne, Erik Magnuson, Pita Taumoepenu, Ahkello Witherspoon and Reuben Foster are all inactive. Third-year veteran Xavier Cooper is the 49ers’ seventh inactive player.
