NaVarro Bowman signs one-year deal with Raiders [report]

Three days after being released by the 49ers, NaVorro Bowman found his new employer in the Oakland Raiders. Sources say, the veteran linebacker inked a one-year, $3 million deal with the Raiders on Monday afternoon.

Following his debut in 2010, Bowman spent the first seven years of his NFL career with the 49ers. During his time with San Francisco, Bowman played in 89 games, in which he made 808 tackles, 12.5 sacks and four interceptions. Not to mention, he made three appearances in the Pro Bowl (2013-14, 16) and received Associated Press First-Team All-Pro honors four times (2011-13 & 2015).

Not only will Bowman receive more playing time in Oakland, an issue he vocally expressed his frustration with during his last few games with the 49ers, but the Raiders hope his addition will give their defense a much-needed boost. After inside linebacker Marquel Lee went down with an ankle injury last week, the Raiders signed Bowman with the expectation that he will fill that hole in their roster.
