Curry hits step-back three, draws the foul on four-point play

Steph Curry had a chance at a four-point play early in the third quarter.

After stealing a Denver Nuggets’ inbound pass, Curry darted to the left corner of the floor and took aim at the hoop. The result? A 24-foot three-pointer and a foul from Nuggets’ guard Emmanuel Mudiay.

The only problem was that Curry missed his foul shot.

So five and a half minutes later, Curry made up for his rare mistake. The top free throw shooter in the NBA brought the ball up the floor, crossed over Malik Beasley, and then fired away. Again Curry hit the shot, and again, he drew a foul.

This time, Curry ensured he hit the free throw, and the Warriors’ star brought Golden State’s bench to its feet with his first four-point play of the season.

Just for kicks, here’s a look at his first chance at a four-point play.
