After starting in place of Kevin Durant against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday, Andre Iguodala is resting and will not face the Philadelphia 76ers, his former team, on Saturday night.
Andre Iguodala (rest) will be inactive for tonight’s game vs. Philadelphia.

In his first regular season start since January 2016, Iguodala filled Druant’s shoes with 11 points, three rebounds, and four field goals in 20:30 minutes played. As a whole, Iguodala has averaged 25 minutes, 3.5 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game. In Iguodala’s absence, it is expected Durant will start, and both Omri Casspi and Nick Young will see more time on the court.
No Iguodala for rest means KD’s basically a guarantee + extra minutes for Casspi/Young after both played well last game https://t.co/sgqVpbBIp7

Although he’s been used as a dangerous weapon off Golden State’s bench, Iguodala served as a starting small forward and shooting guard for the 76ers in the first eight years of his career. From 2004-2012, Igoudala averaged 76 starts per season of Philadelphia and received his only All-Star nomination as a 76ers in 2012.
