Marshawn Lynch rips off 51-yard touchdown for longest play as a Raider

The New York Giants are a mess, and Marshawn Lynch is out to expose them.

On his third play from scrimmage Sunday, the Oakland Raiders’ running back sprinted 51 yards to the end zone for a touchdown to give his team a 7-0 lead.

Just two weeks after the Giants came to the Bay Area and were upended by the San Francisco 49ers, coach Ben McAdoo is on the hot seat and his defense isn’t attempting to make it any cooler.

Lynch gained a combined nine yards on his first two carries of the game, and then took a handoff 51 yards to put an exclamation point on the Raiders’ opening drive. After New York opened the game with starting quarterback Geno Smith missing on his first two attempts, the Raiders didn’t even need Derek Carr to attempt a pass before Oakland took an early lead.

With a win on Sunday, Oakland will be tied for first place in the AFC West at 6-6.
