As Stephen Curry prepares for his third championship run with the Golden State Warriors, his wife, Ayesha, announced on Friday morning with an Instagram post that they will be preparing for their third child, joining 2-year-old Ryan Carson and 5-year-old Riley.

As the story goes, Stephen and Ayesha’s relationship dates back to when his father, Dell Curry, retired and moved his family back to Charlotte, North Carolina in 2002. Shortly after, the Currys began attending Central Church of God, and it was at the church’s youth group where the two first met.

As Stephen’s talents began to draw attention from the NBA, Ayesha had moved to Hollywood to chase her dreams of becoming an actress and she eventually landed cameos in Disney Channel shows “Hannah Montana” and “Good Luck Charlie.”

Their paths wouldn’t cross again until Stephen was nominated for the Best Breakout Athlete award and attended the ESPYs in Los Angeles, California. He made sure to save some time in his trip to visit Ayesha, which quickly led to the start of their dating relationship.

Several years later, the couple returned to the same church where they first met and were wed in July 2011. From there, Stephen has gone on to great achievements in the NBA — two championships, two MVP awards, five All-Star nominations — and Ayesha has been there by his side the entire time.
