Klay Thompson’s 28th birthday was Thursday. To celebrate the occasion, he helped the Warriors dispatch the Dallas Mavericks 121-103 Thursday night at Oracle Arena.
The best celebration, however, might have come before the game, when the Warriors greeted Thompson with a giant cake created in the shape of his beloved pet bulldog Rocco.

Thompson’s devotion to Rocco has been well-documented. In fact, Thompson wanted to take the cake home to show Rocco before digging in, according to the San Jose Mercury News.
““I’m actually curious, so I want to keep it in full cake mode until I go home,” Thompson said. “He’ll probably try to eat it. Let’s be realistic.”
Warriors head coach Steve Kerr called it “the greatest birthday cake I’ve ever seen in my life,” according to the Mercury News.
