David Blaine does David Blaine things in studio with Tolbert and Lund

SAN FRANCISCO – It’s not uncommon to have high-profile entertainers walking around the office at a major-market radio station, but few celebrities are met with the fanfare that street-magician-turned-endurance-artist David Blaine experienced when he visited our offices in downtown San Francisco.

Blaine was in the office to promote his 2018 North America tour, and jumped in the studio with Tom Tolbert and John Lund to show the guys some tricks, and talk about his career.

Born in Brooklyn, Blaine saw a street magician perform when he was four years old, spurring an interest in magic. He first made a name for himself after a popular special on ABC in 1997 called David Blaine: Street Magic. He later moved on to feats of endurance including burying himself alive in a plastic box for a week, standing incased in a block of ice for over 63 hours, and standing on a 100-foot high pole in New York City for 35 hours.
