OAKLAND – Spending the money to buy a ticket close to the floor allows you do a lot at a sporting event.
You can say or yell pretty much anything you want to the athletes on the court. You can see your favorite athletes in person and ask for autographs and free gear. But what you can not do, as one Warriors fan found out Sunday, is take the towel straight off of Kevin Durant’s neck…at least without being sneaky about it.
One fan attempted this feat Sunday after his Golden State Warriors beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 122-103. As Durant was walking off the court to the locker room, someone sitting court side got a little confident and decided to take a souvenir off of 35 as he walked by.
Durant stopped and gave the man a death stare, who quickly threw the towel back as if nothing happened. Apparently he though asking for forgiveness was better than asking for permission.
Maybe he’ll be a bit sneaker next time around…
