This week’s beer review comes to you with a bit of a geography lesson from Tom, who tried out NOVO Brazil’s Ipanema Double IPA.
NOVO Brazil hails form Chula Vista, California, a city in San Diego County. It was a new one for Tom, who had never tried one of their beers.
Started in 2014, NOVO Brazil brews beer with fun accents, aromas, colors, and unique flavors, all with a unique Brazilian twist.
The Double IPA is strong, with 8.6% alcohol. NOVO says it’s, “An intensely hoppy pale ale with a minimal malt character, designed to showcase its strong hop flavors.
“Call it whatever you want, doesn’t matter,” Tolbert said. “They should have just called it ‘mhmmmmmmmm good,’ because that’s exactly what it is.”
