Following multiple reports that Tristan Thompson punched Draymond Green at a post-ESPY’s party, a group of Cavaliers fans are planning a parade at the Quicken Loans Arena in celebration of the incident. According to the Facebook event, 5.1 thousand people are planning to attend on October 13.
Since the initial report that Thompson punched Green, Marcus Thompson of The Athletic wrote:
“It was a sucker punch,” one source at the party told Thompson. “But, to be honest, it wasn’t really a punch. It was more like a shove.”
Green said that the story is inaccurate in an Instagram story on Wednesday, but said that the Cavs fans should keep the parade.

The issues between the two started during Game 1 of June’s NBA Finals when Green and Thompson got into an altercation at the end of the game, that involved Thompson pushing the ball into Green’s face, and then gesturing that he wanted to fight Draymond after the game.

The feud continued after Game 4, when Green refused to shake Thompson’s hand following the conclusion of the series, and then explained why during the Warriors’ championship parade.
