Group of Dodgers fans escorted out of AT&T Park by police

SAN FRANCISCO – No rivalry is pretty, but tonight’s Giants-Dodgers game got ugly. In the top of the eighth inning, police officers inside AT&T Park made their way down toward the section just behind home plate.

The officers started speaking to what looked like five Dodgers fans sitting next to each other. The fan closest to the officers began recording them immediately before she and the rest of the fans next to her were escorted out. She appeared to be handcuffed and moved toward the exit tunnel.

As the group was escorted out, there was a chorus of boos that rung out in the stadium, causing home plate umpire Brian Knight to at one point take his mask off and examine the situation behind the plate.

It is yet unclear why the fans were initially being talked to by the officers.
