You read that right. DeMarcus Cousins has yet to take the court for the Warriors in the regular season, yet, somehow, he managed to get himself ejected from Friday night’s Warriors-New York Knicks matchup in Madison Square Garden.
How exactly did Cousins pull off such a feat? He argued with referee Scott Foster after a play.
It was Scott Foster, a Warriors favorite, who ejected DeMarcus Cousins, giving Cousins his first career statistic as a Warrior.

He was quickly given a technical foul and ejected from the game. While this is a low moment for Cousins and some people who haven’t followed the Warriors’ season might play this as “typical Cousins,” he’s been a mentor for the Warriors’ young trio of centers in Damian Jones, Kevon Looney and Jordan Bell.
During timeouts, in practice, and after plays, Cousins has made his presence evident, imbuing his knowledge of the center position on the youngsters.
The jokes write themselves on DeMarcus Cousins getting ejected when he's not even in the game. But he's been a helpful mentor to Damian Jones from the bench during DJ's starts thus far.
