Durant, Green have heated exchange after turnover at end of regulation

Things got a little heated between the Warriors during the final moments of regulation vs. the Clippers on Monday night.

Draymond Green and Kevin Durant had to be separated in the team huddle during the timeout before overtime, after what appeared to be frustration regarding the team’s final possession.

With the game tied, Green corralled the rebound with about five seconds remaining, and decided to push the ball up the floor instead of handing it off to Durant, who was demonstratively calling for it. Green ended up stumbling and losing control of the ball as time expired.

The two argued passionately on the bench, with Durant seeming to reiterate that he wanted the ball during the final possession.

Here’s an alternate angle of the disagreement.

The Warriors would go onto lose the game in overtime 121-116. Durant, who wound up fouling out of the game, left the locker room early and did not speak to reporters. Shaun Livingston was asked about the incident.
