OAKLAND – You know those times where you have something you want to say in your head, but when when you try to articulate the thought the words, just, don’t come out right? Klay Thompson had one of those moments on live TV this past Friday in Sacramento.
The All-Pro had a good first half in Sacramento and was selected by our friends at NBC Sports Bay Area to do the team’s halftime interview. The rest was history:
“It’s great on both si-, uh, both, uh, it’s great both, both of them are great,” Thompson said. “And we’re uh, getting out push the pace, that’s what our best.”

You probably saw this interview like we did. It would appear that the interview made it to the Warriors locker room, or at the very least to Andre Iguodala – because during the team’s next game against the Memphis Grizzlies Iguodala tried to gave his best Klay Impression.
Kerith Burke asked Iguodala a question, but the Arizona product wasn’t interested in giving a serious answer to start the interview.
“I’m trying to give a Klay response,” Iguodala said after a long pause. “We’re our best. We’re our best. That’s a Klay response.”
When you don’t have to worry about winning basketball games there’s a lot of room for fun.
