OAKLAND – It’s easy to rag on NBA referees, and oftentimes, the criticism can be overly harsh. This is not one of those cases. In overtime, Kevin Durant made a game-saving play to “prevent” the ball from going out of bounds and shoveling it to Klay Thompson, who moved the ball to Stephen Curry, who pulled up from inside the arc to put the Warriors up by two points with just under 30 seconds remaining.

James Harden then proceeded to hit an absurd game-winning 3-pointer to effectively wipe out Durant’s play, which came with him obviously out of bounds. After the game, Durant was asked about the play and was blunt about the refereeing.
Reporter: “Did you know how far out of bounds you were?”
Durant: “Uh, yeah.”
Reporter: “Could you believe it didn’t get the whistle?”
Durant: “I could believe it because the refs were missing a lot tonight and they miss a lot in general, so you can easily fool them.”
Reporter: “Have you seen the video?”
Durant, smiling: “Yeah.”
