OAKLAND – Tonight, the Warriors threw away a game in which they led the Houston Rockets by 20 points. Stephen Curry admitted that the Warriors handed the Rockets the game, saying afterwards, “For sure. If you have a lead like that, you don’t lose at home.”

But even after James Harden hit that absurd game-winning 3-point shot, the Warriors still had a full second left on the clock to execute and inbounds play, leaving enough time to catch and shoot. The Rockets guarded Andre Iguodala’s inbound pass tightly and for the most part, they smothered Warriors players trying to get open. But, as you can see in the video above, Klay Thompson, if only for a brief moment, came wide open cutting into the paint.
Thompson was asked after the game if he was open on the last possession. Here’s what he said:
“I mean, yeah, but that’s a tough pass to make with nine bodies in front of you. I can say that’s a tough play to make.”
