Tolbert’s Beer Review: Ghost Town Brewing Hericide IPA

By

/

Trade secrets, video games and of course delicious beer.

This week’s featured beer is the 7.2% Hericide IPA by Ghost Town Brewing in Oakland.

From Ghost Town:

Serfs up! Sharpen that pike and raise the guillotine, because Hericide is back on the menu. Hericide is a killer 7.2% ABV west coast IPA with 70 riotous IBUs of Galaxy and Mosaic. It has dank, tropical notes of jack fruit, pineapple and passion fruit.

All the puns originating from the can that features an eerie scene of medieval Europe.

“Kind of looks likes a scene from Assassins Creed. It’s one of the video games I used to play,” Tom said. “The reason I don’t play video games anymore is because if I play video games, I stay up till 3 in the morning playing these damn video games!”

List of other games Tom likes:

Tomb Raider

Grand Theft Auto

Last of Us

“Dead Red” (Red Dead Redemption II)

Though maybe it’s good Tom doesn’t know too much about the last one lest he walk around talking like a cowboy.
