Verrett, 27, was the 25th overall pick in the 2014 draft by the Chargers, and made the Pro Bowl in his second season. Verrett hasn’t played anything close to a full season since, playing in just five games over the past three years. He played just four games before partially tearing his ACL in 2016, just one game before having knee surgery in 2017, and missed the entire 2018 season after tearing his Achilles on the first day of camp.
Verrett (5-foot-10, 188 pounds) has recorded five interceptions, 19 pass breakups and 80 tackles in 25 career games.
