Nick Young gave a hilarious answer on his post-Warriors life

Nick Young is back in Oracle Arena to receive his 2018 championship ring Friday night, and he hasn’t changed a bit.

About 30 minutes before the Warriors tipped off with the visiting Cleveland Cavaliers, Young took questions from reporters. Among them: what has he been doing in his post-Warriors life? Since he became a free agent after the 2018 season, his only involvement with the NBA came during a 20-day stretch as a member of the Denver Nuggets in December.

“Ah, man, let’s see. Like every detail?” Young said. He paused.

“You know, just being me, man, being Swaggy. I have a new tv show coming out y’all, so make sure y’all check that out.”

When asked what the show will be called, he said, ‘Swaggy’s World.’ As for the show’s premise…

“Just everything that goes on in my head, you’ll see it on tv,” he said.

Young’s job as a dad — he has one son, Nick Jr. — has occupied most of his time.

“Tired of seeing my wife, all kinds of stuff,” Young joked. “You know, doing anything to get out of the house; taking out the trash.”

On Thursday, Steve Kerr said he was “fired up” to see Young, while anticipating his goofy personality returning to the Warriors’ halls.

“Nick always had a smile on his face,” Kerr said. “I just mentioned his name, and like three people started laughing, smiling. That’s the joy Nick always brought to our locker room. He just had a great way about him, just a great presence, great outlook on life.”
