SAN FRANCISCO — Giants starting pitcher Shaun Anderson his having himself a day. He’s attempting to remedy the San Francisco’s early inning woes and at the same time contribute at the plate.
In his first ever at bat, Anderson belted a standing double to right field only moments after catcher Aramis Garcia launched a two-run jack to put the Giants ahead 3-1.

Anderson tacked on to his hitting stats again in the fourth as he roped a ground ball to left for a single. He is now 2-2 at the plate.
Wednesday marked Anderson’s MLB debut in which he has posted four strikeouts through three innings and let up only two hits. Opener Nick Vincent and Tyler Beede had let up six hits and three runs collectively by the same time last game.
The Blue Jays left the first inning with a 1-0 lead, however, this was the first game since May 10th, against the Reds, that the Giants have escaped the first inning with one or less runs.
So far so good.
