Steve Kerr has won five NBA championships as a player and three as a coach. There is not much that gets to him at this point in his career, especially not light heckling on the eve of his fifth-straight NBA Finals head coaching appearance. As Kerr headed into his hotel last night, one Raptors fan called out to Kerr.
“Steve, Raps in five? Raps in five? Raps in five or six?” the fan asked.
Kerr asked, “What’s that?”
“Raps in five or six?” the fan asked again.
“I take eight,” Kerr said, before walking into his hotel.
The Warriors take on the Toronto Raptors at 6 p.m. May 30 in Toronto. It will be the first time the Warriors have played a non-LeBron James-led team in the Finals, and the first time they’ll start a Finals series without Kevin Durant since 2016, the year before Durant joined the team.
