The only good news for the Warriors on Wednesday came after the game. Steve Kerr said that he expects Klay Thompson to play in Game 4 of the NBA Finals on Friday, according to Tim Kawakami of The Athletic. Kevin Durant’s status is reportedly still up in the air.

Thompson sat out Game 3 with a left hamstring issue and was sorely missed. With Kevin Durant and Kevon Looney also out, Stephen Curry was responsible for nearly half of the team’s offensive output, scoring 47 points in the 123-109 loss. Thompson had been saying that he would play in Game 3 since after Game 2, but was eventually scratched 30 minutes before tip off.

Durant has now missed nine games since sustaining a strained calf during Game 5 of the Western Conference Semifinals. KD is expected to participate in his first full-court scrimmage on Thursday.

UPDATE: According to Yahoo Sports’ Chris Haynes, Klay Thompson will play in Game 4 of the NBA Finals.
