DeMarcus Cousins discusses potential Warriors return: ‘I’m open’

OAKLAND – The Warriors have a lot of question to answer this summer. Kevin Durant can opt out of his player option and become a free agent. Klay Thompson is a free agent. DeMarcus Cousins is a free agent. Kevon Looney is a free agent. Quinn Cook is a free agent. Jonas Jerebko is a free agent. Jordan Bell is a free agent.

Cousins joining the Warriors was the shock of the summer, as he signed on following an Achilles tear to sign a one-year, $5 million deal using the Warriors’ mid-level exception. Cousins was asked about his future after Thursday’s NBA Finals loss.

“I’m open so we’ll see what happens,” Cousins said. “I don’t know. It was a weird summer last summer. You never know how things work out, so like I said, I’m open and I’ll make the best decision for myself and my family. We’ll see what happens, we’ll see which way the wind blows.”
