The 49ers beat the Carolina Panthers 51-13 on Sunday. Quarterback Kyle Allen, who hadn’t thrown a single interception in his six-game career threw three interceptions. Emmanuel Sanders led the first drive off with his first touchdown as a 49er. Tevin Coleman ran for three touchdowns, and caught another, tying Jerry Rice’s franchise record for touchdowns in a game, and was untouched on at least two of those touchdowns.
Raheem Mostert ran for a touchdown in relief for Coleman, and was also untouched, on a handoff from Nick Mullens, in relief for Jimmy Garoppolo. Both Richard Sherman and Nick Bosa nearly returned interceptions for touchdowns. It was, to put it lightly, a convincing win for a team that is now 7-0.
That is, convincing for most folks except Panthers defensive end Bruce Irvin. Irvin told Jim Trotter of NFL Media that he wasn’t overly impressed with the 49ers.
“They’re OK,” Irvin said. “They’re OK. They’re not world-beaters.”
I asked Panthers end Bruce Irvin just how good this 49ers team is. “They’re OK. They’re OK. They’re not world-beaters,” he said. My guess is SF will use this as another log on the motivational fire.

Defensive end Nick Bosa was asked after the game what he thought of Irvin’s comments. Bosa’s response: “I don’t care.”
.@hutchdiesel told Nick Bosa that Bruce Irvin said the 49ers were just "OK" after losing by 38 points:
