Stephen Curry breaks hand on fall as Warriors’ worst fears are realized

How could the start of the Warriors’ season get any worse?

Like this.

Stephen Curry was knocked out of Wednesday’s game against the Suns, appearing to fall hard on his left hand and slow to get back to his feet. The Warriors announced Curry has a broken hand, and the Warriors’ worst fears are being realized.

With 8:31 to play in the third, Curry drove and elevated, with Phoenix big man Aron Baynes not leaving his feet. Curry flipped up a shot and crashed into him and fell to the ground — as did all 260 pounds of Baynes, who landed on Curry’s hand/wrist.

A grimacing Curry was down for an extended period before he rose and left the game, Willie Cauley-Stein replacing him in a game that the Warriors were getting blasted, 83-54.
