Watch Richard Sherman mic’d up against Seahawks

For the second time in his career, Richard Sherman played in Seattle without a Seahawks uniform on. Instead, he donned a throwback white and red 49ers uniform in a game which decided the winner of the NFC West and brought San Francisco not just the No. 1 seed in the NFC, but its first win in Seattle since 2011.

Sherman was mic’d up for the game against his former team. While he’s expressed frustration at the front office for never making him a genuine offer after tearing his Achilles, something he said wasn’t related or held against head coach Pete Carroll, or his old teammates, Sherman has generally been cordial when talking about Seattle and has tended to downplay any perceived emotional edge in going back there.

He finished the 2019 season with his sixth Pro Bowl nod and first since 2016, and a 26-21 win in Seattle. As he waited for the result of the final play, he talked to former teammate Russell Wilson, telling him, “That’s game!”
