Draymond Green mocks ref, gets ejected during Warriors-Pistons

A sleepy game needed some energy. Or maybe Draymond Green just needed some sleep.

The Warriors forward got himself ejected in the third quarter of Saturday’s Chase Center matchup with the Pistons, a bore of a game being invigorated by Green’s endless chirping.

Down 73-68 with 4:57 to play in the period, Green argued a no-call with official Tre Maddox, who gave him a technical. (After the tech, Green imitated the “T” motion right back at Maddox.) After the Pistons sunk the free throw, Green kept jawing, and then he was gone.

Green’s argument quickly ended, and he walked directly off the court and into the tunnel.

It was the second ejection ever at Chase Center — Green also had the first — and left a Warriors squad already down D’Angelo Russell even more shorthanded. Before the boot, Green had two points, six rebounds, a block and three assists in 22 minutes.
