The helicopter crash that claimed the life of Kobe Bryant also killed his 13-year-old daughter.
Gianna Maria-Onore Bryant, left on the photo above, also known as GiGi, was one of the victims of the Sunday morning accident that killed at least five, with no reported survivors among those on board. According to ESPN, another player and parent were on the helicopter. Bryant’s wife, Vanessa, was not believed to be on board.
According to TMZ Sports, the helicopter was heading to Mamba Academy, in nearby Thousand Oaks, when the crash occurred. It’s not clear what caused the tragedy.
Fans have begun gathering at Staples Center to pay tribute to the 41-year-old, Gianna and the other victims.
