MIAMI — Four-time Super Bowl champion Joe Montana took some time to sit down with KNBR’s Bonnie-Jill Laflin on Saturday, one day before his two former teams square off in Super Bowl LIV.
Montana touched on a number of subjects including his unique relationship with Bill Walsh, and the sense of humor the legendary head coach had even days before his passing. Montana also defended Jimmy Garoppolo, recounted memories from his first Super Bowl appearance in 1981, and gave context to his now famous John Candy story from Super Bowl XXII.
