Kyle Shanahan’s attention has been piqued.

NFL Network’s draft expert Daniel Jeremiah participated in a conference call on Friday morning, in which he was asked which receiver, regardless of when they’re projected to go, would be the best fit for the 49ers.

For Jeremiah, it’s Henry Ruggs.

“For me he’s the dreamy fit. I want to see it,” Jeremiah said. “Just as a football fan, I want to see what Kyle Shanahan could do with Ruggs, with his speed, with his toughness with the ball in his hands. I just envision the stretch bootleg that they like to run there and having Ruggs running those deep over routes and watching people try and run with that dude. No chance.

“I think Kyle Shanahan got a front row seat to see what the speed looked like in the Super Bowl with Tyreek Hill on the biggest play of the season. It cost them a Super Bowl ring, and that speed was the difference. I think they’ll know what that value is, and I would love to see what he can do with him creatively. Man, it would be a lot of fun.”

As for the plan in recouping value from the losses of Emmanuel Sanders and DeForest Buckner, and the aging pair of Joe Staley and Richard Sherman, Jeremiah said he fully expects the 49ers to trade back and look at corner.

“Really I think when you look at the corner position, just getting some more speed, getting some more speed, getting younger, getting more athletic there would be an area I’m sure they will address at some point in time,” Jeremiah said. “I think I mentioned earlier if they pick at both of these spots, if they pick at 13 and 31, I will be shocked. I fully expect them to trade back with one of those picks and try and recover some of those mid-round picks they don’t possess.”
