Frank Gore may never retire. At this point, the 36-year-old Gore is only three potential years away from playing with his son, Frank Gore Jr., who is about to enter his freshman at Southern Mississippi. For the 16th-straight season, the elder Gore will return to the NFL, this time with the New York Jets and former head coach Adam Gase, who coached Gore with the Miami Dolphins in 2018, according to his agent, Drew Rosenhaus.
Standout veteran RB Frank Gore is signing a 1-year deal with the Jets, @RosenhausSports tells ESPN. Gore will be reunited with his former coach Adam Gase, with whom he spent the 2018 season.

Gore will remain in the AFC West Division for the third-straight year, going from the Dolphins in 2018 to the Buffalo Bills last season, and now, the Jets.
The 49ers are scheduled to play the Jets this season, along with the rest of the AFC West, assuming the NFL can go ahead with its season as scheduled. Inter-conference games will likely be the first casualties of a shortened season, meaning the 49ers’ meeting with Gore could be one of the games on the chopping block if the season can’t be played in full.
