Here’s what Raheem Mostert reportedly wanted from 49ers

Raheem Mostert’s agent tweeted Wednesday afternoon that his client wants out of San Francisco after unproductive contract negotiations over the past few months. Now, details are starting to emerge about what Mostert and agent Brett Tessler are requesting from the team.

According to Over The Cap, fellow RB Tevin Coleman is set to make around two million dollars more than Mostert in 2020, but the 5-year veteran wants to change that.

Rapoport is right, Coleman is set to make a base salary of $4,550,000 in 2020 with Mostert checking in at $2,575,000. Jerick McKinnon ($910,000), Jeff Wilson ($750,000), JaMycal Hasty and Salvon Ahmed ($610,000 each) round out the rest of the running backs currently on the 90-man roster.

After starting the year behind Coleman, McKinnon, and newly-minted Dolphins running back Matt Breida, Mostert finished the season leading the 49ers in rushing yards, rushing touchdowns, rushing first downs, and broken tackles.

After spending time in Philadelphia, Miami, Baltimore, Cleveland, New York and Chicago, Mostert landed on the San Francisco practice squad in September of 2016. He didn’t get much playing time on the active roster until a spell during the 2018 season.

Mostert signed a three-year contract with the 49ers in March, 2019. It was worth $8,650,000 worth $2.4 million guaranteed at signing.
