Jamal Adams has a few admirers in the Bay Area, and it’s not just fans. When Adams, the stellar strong safety who was a first team All-Pro in 2019 and a second team All-Pro in 2018, requested a trade from the Jets earlier this offseason, he was immediately welcomed by players of teams on his prospective trade list.
When Trent Williams posted a picture of himself signing his reworked one-year contract with the 49ers (they effectively fronted him some cash, guaranteeing more immediately), he tagged Adams, encouraging him to continue his career in Santa Clara.

Legendary 49ers safety, and maybe the greatest safety ever, in Ronnie Lott, also wants Adams to come to the 49ers, telling NBC Sports Bay Area, “If they can get [him], they might as well. To me, I’m the kind of guy that if you want to win, you find ways to get these kind of moments done.”
The latest to join in on the Adams recruitment party is Deebo Samuel, who reposted a clipping of a report that the 49ers had “inquired” about Adams (not exactly something to read into on its own, given that, of course they would), saying on his Instagram story on Thursday, “@presidentialmal come on the gang.”
