Allen Iverson endeared himself to Warriors fans when he said that Stephen Curry is one of his favorite players of all time. His latest comments will make them love him even more.

While appearing as a guest on Stephen Jackson and Matt Barnes’ video podcast “All the Smoke,” Iverson said the following when asked which current player he would most like to play with (h/t NBC Sports for the transcription):

Iverson: “Giannis.”

Jackson: “I thought you were about to say KD (Kevin Durant).”

Iverson: “Oh nah, nah, nah! Yeah. I would love to play with KD. I love Giannis now. I love Giannis. I love Giannis. I’m trippin’ because I haven’t seen KD in a minute. I’m trippin’. I’m trippin’ hard. No disrespect to Giannis. I love Giannis.”

Jackson: “I hope he leaves too. Go to Golden State.”

Iverson: “That’s where I want him to go — Golden State!

Barnes: “It would be ugly.”

Iverson: “Yes. Yes. I would love him to go there. Thats where I want him to go. I want him to go to Golden State man.”

It’s been detailed ad nauseam how difficult it would be for the Warriors to land Giannis, especially via free agency, and especially with the shrinking salary cap. But maybe if one of the all-time greats would love to see it, the reigning two-time MVP would like to see it too…
