Brandon Aiyuk hurdles defender on absurd 38-yard TD

This Brandon Aiyuk guy might be alright, huh? In his second-straight game, the 25th overall pick from the 2020 NFL Draft is shaking defenders with regularity. With his first touch of the day, the rookie nabbed a screen pass, officially deemed a rush, and made quick work of the unlucky folks in his way.

At the end of the run, Aiyuk bunnied his way over Eagles safety Marcus Epps with an all-too-easy hurdle, sending Epps flying a good three yards into the ether of the 49ers sideline.

Both right guard Daniel Brunskill and right tackle Mike McGlinchey finished key blocks to open up heaps of space for Aiyuk just before he ruined Epps’ day.

This comes after Aiyuk had 101 combined yards and his first career touchdown against the New York Jets last week, after which he was named the NFL’s offensive Rookie of the Week. After missing Week 1 and some of the already abbreviated preseason, he hasn’t missed a step.
