Matthew Stafford wants to be traded. The Detroit Lions will, according to reports, acquiesce to that trade demand. The question, obviously, is who makes Detroit the best offer?

Currently a few suitors stand out: the 49ers, Indianapolis Colts (Phillip Rivers retired), Chicago Bears (Mitch Trubisky a free agent, Nick Foles set to make $6.7 million), Denver Broncos (have everything but a viable quarterback), Washington Football team (strong defense, a few offensive weapons) and New England Patriots. Maybe you want to throw the New Orleans Saints in there, too, but they are in salary cap hell.

Stafford will cost just $20 million in 2021 and $23 million in 2022 to whichever team acquires him, per OverTheCap.

According to BetOnline, the most likely destination for Stafford is Indianapolis. Second? The 49ers. That likely has more to do with the fact that the 49ers have at least a viable quarterback on the roster and Indianapolis does not, rather than the Colts being more interested than the 49ers. Below are the odds for the top 10 teams:

  • Indianapolis: +300
  • San Francisco: +350
  • Denver: +400
  • New England: +500
  • Washington: +600
  • Carolina: +800
  • Las Vegas: +1000
  • Rams: +1100
  • Houston: +1200
  • Dallas/New Orleans: +1400
