Jed York, John Lynch hint at Kyle Juszczyk signing, seem to be having a very good time

Folks, I hope you’re having as good a night as the 49ers’ organization is, but I highly doubt it. It sounds like they are having a very, very good time, hopefully staying hydrated.

We tend to find out news of major signings from guys like Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport; but every once in a while, you get some weirdness. Saturday night was one of those times. Perhaps general manager John Lynch just happens to know when those fine reporters go to sleep, because at 9:45 p.m. he tweeted an almost explicit declaration that the 49ers would re-sign Kyle Juszczyk.

It was hard to know what to make of the tweet, and it’s still, by all accounts, bizarre. Was Lynch hacked? What followed was a tweet from team CEO Jed York, who dropped a hashtag that will go down in 49ers Twitter lore: #Kyle.

And if you thought both were hacked in a very precise, calculated way, well Joe Staley seemed to put an end to that, tweeting a seemingly vague confirmation of the Juszczyk signing, and perhaps other moves.

Staley posted a video earlier on Saturday of himself and Mike McGlinchey driving and singing together, like the borderline married couple they were for the two years before Staley retired.

Galaxy brain take here, but is this an indication of more than the Juszczyk re-signing? It’s an awful lot of internet sappiness and sloppiness for a lone fullback re-signing. Is Trent Williams back? Did McGlinchey get his fifth-year option picked up? Thanks to the timing of this we won’t know any confirmation at least until Sunday morning, but for now, ride the wave along with the 49ers’ brass, who are having quite a night.
