We’ve got a lineup!

The Giants announced their first of 162 lineups for the 2021 season before Thursday’s opener, and the most interesting aspect involves a familiar face. Buster Posey, who sat out all of 2020, is back, but batting 7th, the lowest he’s been in a Giants’ lineup since 2010 his rookie season.

It’s Posey’s 10th Opening Day start. The same can be said for Brandon Crawford and Brandon Belt. Before today, only five players had started 10 Opening Days in Giants’ history.

The lineup doesn’t include any new faces vs. Seattle left-hander Marco Gonzales, and features just three left-handed hitters.

1. Slater, LF
2. Yastrzemski, RF
3. Solano, 2B
4. Longoria, 3B
5. Belt, 1B
6. Flores, DH
7. Posey, C
8. Crawford, SS
9 Dubon, CF
