If you thought this was over when Bradley Beal’s wife called Kent Bazemore out on Monday afternoon, you were sorely mistaken. In fact, that was only just beginning.

A primer: During his presser after Monday shootaround, Bazemore made a comment in questionable taste regarding Beal and the hamstring injury he sustained while dropping 50 points on Saturday. The quote was in the context of the NBA scoring title, which Stephen Curry currently leads over Beal by a couple fractions of a point.

“Forty-nine points in 29 minutes, that’s unreal,” Bazemore said referring to Curry’s performance on Saturday. “We got guys hurting hamstrings to keep up.”

This did not sit well with Bradley Beal’s wife, Kamiah Adams-Beal, who went off on Twitter at Bazemore, letting him know what she thought of him as a player. Hint: She doesn’t think he’s very good.

Late Monday, during the Warriors’ game vs. the Jazz as a matter of fact, Beal himself got involved, posting a series of angry tweets directed at Bazemore, who he believes is “lame” and should shut his “ass up.” He also tagged him in a gif of a clown dancing. It’s all very mature stuff.

Finally, Bazemore said his piece after the game, explaining that he hadn’t looked at his phone all day, and that he’s surprised how much is being made out of what he considered a joke.

There really is nothing quite as stupid, or as amusing, as NBA Twitter beef.
