LeBron James says he was ‘literally seeing 3 rims’ when he shot game-winner vs. Warriors

I mean, you knew he was going to do it right?

LeBron James is either the greatest or second-greatest player in NBA history. He is also second-to-none when it comes to playing things up for the sake of his narrative. Remember when he wore a cast on his wrist to the press conference after losing the 2018 Finals? Of course you do.

It was therefore no surprise that James claimed he had the vision of someone who just drank 10 beers when he hit his game-winning shot vs. the Warriors after getting poked in the eye.

No, really. He said he was “literally” seeing triple.

“After I took that finger to the eye, I was literally seeing three rims out there,” LeBron told Rachel Nichols after the game. “I just shot at the middle one. Thanks to the man above I was able to knock it down.”

Listen, there’s no doubt that James’ vision was at least a little impaired. His eyes were red and swollen after Green caught him with both hands to the face.

Still, if you’re not buying the ‘3 rims’ story, you’re not alone. Stephen Curry appeared to wave it off after the two embraced postgame.

Yeah, maybe this stuff is annoying, but you’ll miss these antics when he finally hangs ’em up.
