The following was announced by MLB on Thursday:
“With the agreement of the Players Association, MLB has extended Trevor Bauer’s placement on Administrative Leave for an additional 7 days, effective tomorrow. MLB’s investigation is ongoing.”
ESPN’s Jeff Passan reported that the league and union will discuss an indefinite extension of Bauer’s administrative leave, unless something “is resolved” amid the investigation into sexual assault allegations in the next seven days.
Dodgers SP Trevor Bauer's administrative leave has been extended by seven days as police and the league continue to investigate sexual assault allegations against him. Unless something is resolved by then — very unlikely — league and union will discuss an indefinite extension.

Here’s Major League Baseball’s original statement from last week.
“MLB’s investigation into the allegations made against Trevor Bauer is ongoing. While no determination in the case has been made, we have made the decision to place Mr. Bauer on seven-day administrative leave effective immediately. MLB continues to collect information in our ongoing investigation concurrent with the Pasadena Police Department’s active criminal investigation. We will comment further at the appropriate time.”
