Three days after the leaking of a 2011 email from Raiders head coach Jon Gruden, in which he used racist language to insult NFLPA President DeMaurice Smith, more inappropriate emails have come out.

According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, Gruden, who signed to a reported 10-year, $100 million deal in 2018, will resign.

According to The New York Times, the first email used the following phrase to disparage Smith: “Dumboriss Smith has lips the size of michellin tires,” Gruden wrote about Smith in the exchange.

On Friday, Gruden responded to the email, saying, he “went too far,” but declined to go further, saying “I never had a blade of racism in me.”

NYT has now reported that Gruden used misogynistic and homophobic language in separate emails. According to the report, the emails are from Gruden’s time working for ESPN, and were sent to former Washington Football Team president Bruce Allen.

In these emails, according to NYT, Gruden “Denounced the emergence of women as referees, the drafting of a gay player and the tolerance of players protesting during the playing of the national anthem.”

Gruden also called NFL commissioner Roger Goodell multiple homophobic slurs. He coaches Raiders defensive end Carl Nassib, who came out as gay this offseason, becoming the only openly gay player in the NFL.
