Draymond Jr. stole the show on Monday night

The Warriors beat the Kings 113-98 on Monday, but what we’ll remember is the wholesome entertainment Draymond Green’s son provided on the Warriors bench.

Draymond Jr. acted as the team’s bench assistant, in charge of everything from handing out towels to boosting morale with his dancing.

Here’s some of the best video via NBC Sports Bay Area:

Draymond spoke at length after the game about how happy he was to give his son the experience, one that was an early birthday gift.

“I told him today, I said ‘You like that?’ He’s like ‘It was funny, daddy.’” Draymond said. “I was like ‘Alright we can’t do it all the time but we can do it sometimes.’ But that was an early birthday gift. He was like ‘I love it!’

“Everything is heightened right now. You spend that time with your family, obviously we won’t be here for Christmas Day, just ways that you can try to make up for it. Obviously you can’t make up for sitting at home with your kids and your significant other and the rest of your family on Christmas Day. There’s no substitute for that, but if it’s anything close for him this was it.”

Draymond was also appreciative to the Warriors organization for helping foster a team atmosphere.

“This organization is amazing. For coach Kerr and Eric Housen to allow him to sit there and help. You miss so much doing this job. Those are the moments where it’s all worth it. For him to have that experience, it’s special. I don’t take that for granted. Coach Kerr doesn’t have to allow that to happen, so I’m very appreciative of that.

“I can’t give him that experience doing anything else if I wanted to. So I don’t take that experience for granted one bit. It’s incredible how he’s able to share that moment with us and be in the mix and see how it’s all working. It’s special.”
