Draymond Green will miss his second straight game after feeling a “twinge” in warmups before the Warriors’ Sunday tilt against Cleveland.

Marc J. Spears of ESPN reported that Green didn’t travel with the team to Memphis for Tuesday night’s clash, but there’s optimism the forward could return to the court later this week.

Spears, in his return guest appearance on KNBR, said he doesn’t think Green’s injury is too serious.

“He told me it wasn’t,” Spears said on the Murph & Mac Show. “But it was certainly serious enough for him to not get on the plane and play Memphis tonight.”

Green injured his left calf before Sunday night’s game — Klay Thompson’s return. The pain was so severe Green couldn’t go, but still started as a tribute to Thompson. Green committed a foul seven seconds after the opening tipoff to get subbed out.

So the Warriors returned Thompson but lost Green. They still weren’t whole. It’s been 943 days now since the last time Green, Thompson and Stephen Curry played together in earnest.

Gary Payton II (ankle) and Otto Porter Jr. (shoulder) are listed as questionable for Golden State’s Jan. 11 game against the Grizzlies.

Memphis is the first stop of a four-game road trip for GSW. The Warriors also travel to Milwaukee, Chicago and Minnesota — games Green could potentially reunite with the Splash Bros and the rest of the Warriors.
